This summer, the five-time world's No. 1 DJ returns to Sunny Hill — a festival he himself has described as "special."

PRISTINA — June 12, 2026 — Sunny Hill Festival has officially confirmed the return of one of the biggest names in global electronic music: Martin Garrix.

A five-time winner of the title of World's No. 1 DJ (DJ Mag), the Dutch producer and hitmaker will take to the main stage at Sunny Hill Festival, joining an already exceptional lineup of artists set to perform at this year's edition. And this achievement is far more than a title — since 2016, Martin Garrix has never fallen outside the world's Top 5 DJs.

With global hits that have defined the past decade of dance music, including Animals, Scared to Be Lonely (with Dua Lipa), and In the Name of Love, Garrix brings one of the industry's most powerful live productions to Pristina.

His return follows his historic performance at the festival's inaugural edition in 2018, once again reinforcing Sunny Hill's status as the leading destination for music and culture in Southeast Europe.

Martin Garrix's addition completes an exceptionally ambitious program for this year's festival, which has already confirmed global superstar Katy Perry, alongside leading names from the international electronic music scene such as Pawsa, Keinemusik (Adam Port & Rampa), Carlita, and Manifest.

Over the course of three days, Sunny Hill Festival is expected to welcome more than 100,000 attendees from approximately 60 countries worldwide. In addition to the artists already announced, the festival will host dozens of other international performers and emerging regional talents, whose names will be revealed in the coming days.

Sunny Hill Festival's Impact on Kosovo: From Culture to Economy

Sunny Hill Festival is far more than a music event. It has become Kosovo's most powerful instrument of cultural diplomacy. The Kosovo Chamber of Commerce honored the festival with the Economic Impact Award 2025, recognizing it as a successful model of how cultural and music events can drive economic development while strengthening cultural diplomacy.

Its direct financial impact is both measurable and well documented. Pristina alone generated more than €22 million from the most recent edition of the festival, benefiting hotels, restaurants, transportation services, retail businesses, rental properties, fashion retailers, and numerous other sectors.

During festival week, reports indicated that 96 percent of accommodation capacity across Kosovo was fully booked. Hotels in Pristina reached 99 percent occupancy, including Airbnb properties, while the festival's overall economic impact was estimated at millions of euros within a single week.

International media exposure has also reached remarkable levels. Based on Sunny Hill Festival's analysis of 72 selected international articles, combined with artist-driven social media promotion, the value of Kosovo's international image exposure generated by the festival is estimated at up to €24 million.

Sunny Hill Festival has been nominated for Best in Europe in the Mid-Sized Festival category at the European Festival Awards, placing it among the Top 10 festivals in Europe.
